Brendan has more than 17 years of experience investing in infrastructure and real assets. Before launching Glenfarne, he was a Senior Managing Director of Macquarie Capital in its New York office. He was a founding member of the US Management Committee and Co-Head of the Diversified Industries Group, having P&L responsibility for approximately 100 staff members across five office locations focused on infrastructure industrials. He was also CEO of a number of direct investment vehicles and built the US principal toll road investment business. Brendan’s business-building experience commenced in 2000, when he was a founding member of Macquarie’s US infrastructure merchant banking business (including principal and fund investing). Immediately prior to launching Glenfarne, he was tasked with building Macquarie Capital’s Latin American initiatives. He graduated with bachelor’s degrees in Engineering (Robotics) and Commerce (Accounting / Economics) from the Australian National University.
Carl has more than 26 years of proven experience in planning, developing, financing, building, and operating large-scale, complex projects in the electric generation and bioenergy industries, with a particular focus on the use of renewable and sustainable resources. He has held senior executive–level positions with independent power developers and has successfully developed, financed, designed, built, and operated multiple projects valued at more than $2.0 billion (in 2013 dollars) that employ innovative technologies to produce renewable electricity, fuels, and products from waste materials. Carl graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and is a registered professional engineer.
Vlad has more than 12 years of experience in project and real asset finance. Before joining Glenfarne, Vlad was an Associate Director at National Australia Bank’s Hong Kong office, responsible for the provision of investment banking and funding solutions to the Asia Pacific real estate industry, having been instrumental in building National Australia Bank’s advisory and capital-raising capabilities in the region. Prior to relocating to Asia, Vlad had a successful career with National Australia Bank’s Project Finance team based in Sydney, Australia, where his focus was on the provision of non-recourse project financing for projects from all major industry sectors. Vlad obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree (majoring in Finance and Actuarial Studies) from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia.
Bryan has more than 12 years of experience as a lawyer, an engineer and developer. Before joining Glenfarne, Bryan was an attorney at Vinson & Elkins LLP where he represented clients in the financing and development of billions of dollars of energy and infrastructure projects in North and South America. Prior to becoming a lawyer, he worked as an engineer, including as an independent engineer advising financial institutions on investments in energy projects. Bryan speaks Spanish (fluent) and Portuguese (fluent)
Sim has more than 14 years of experience in investment banking and capital markets. Before joining Glenfarne, he was a Director at Credit Suisse providing investment banking products & services (M&A, private placements, leveraged finance, and restructuring) to institutional family offices, entrepreneurs, and select financial sponsors. In this role he was instrumental in establishing Credit Suisse’s Solution Partners Corporate Finance team in the Americas. He previously held positions at UBS Investment Bank in its Global Industrials Group and at BB&T Capital Markets as a corporate finance generalist across the Industrials and Transport / Logistics sectors. Sim obtained a BA from Trinity College (Hartford, CT) and a MBA from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management.

Sean has more than 13 years of transaction experience in banking and capital markets. Before joining Glenfarne, Sean was Managing Director at The Solace Group, a Panama-based finance and advisory services firm. Prior to The Solace Group, he was a Vice President in Global Corporate and Investment Banking at Banco Santander, where he advised Fortune 100 companies on transactions across the Americas. Sean speaks Spanish (fluent).
Kon has more than 7 years of project finance and project development experience in the energy and infrastructure sector. Prior to joining Glenfarne, Kon was a Senior Analyst at Investec Bank (Australia) Limited providing project finance solutions to large scale traditional and renewable energy projects, as well as developing similar projects within the bank’s in house development team. Kon is also a lawyer registered in the State of NSW, Australia.
Elaine has more than 4 years of experience in the infrastructure and energy sectors. Before joining Glenfarne, she worked as an Associate at China-ASEAN Investment Cooperation Fund in Hong Kong and prior to that at Macquarie Capital’s New York office, working on projects across the energy, infrastructure and mining sectors. Elaine is a native speaker of Mandarin Chinese.
Elpidio has more than 11 years of experience in the financial services industry. Before joining Glenfarne, he worked in a support capacity at UBS, specifically for the investment banking and private wealth management departments. He holds an MBA in Finance and International Business and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Stony Brook University. Elpidio is fluent in Spanish.
Apoorv holds a B.A. in Economics from The University of Chicago. Before joining Glenfarne, he was a summer analyst at Eagle Rock Advisors, a real estate private equity fund. Apoorv assisted in all aspects of transaction execution including underwriting investment opportunities and performing due diligence. Additionally, Apoorv interned for Citigroup’s Export and Agency Finance group where he assisted in structuring Export Credit Agency financings for clients in Latin America.
Mohammad is the Office Operations Manager for Glenfarne Group. He holds a B.S. degree from Rutgers University and is currently pursuing his MBA degree with a concentration in Finance from Rutgers Business School.
Tracy has more than 15 years of experience in relationship and project management. Before joining Glenfarne, she was global account manager for a major financial services company partnering with Fortune 500 clients. She was responsible for the profitable growth of high-profile accounts sized over $300 million in spend across 40 global markets. She has experience in all aspects of organizational dynamics, conflict resolution, and continuous process improvement. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Arts in French.
Bill has more than 30 years of experience in the power and legal industries. Having held COO- and CEO-level positions of major power developers, such as Covanta Energy, Sithe Energies, Coastal Power Company, and El Paso Corporation, Bill has led transactions on more than 15 separate power investments globally. Bill’s specialty in the power sector has been on project development. As an attorney, Bill focused on financings and has heavy experience in real assets.
Brian has more than 30 years providing leadership in all facets of forest products businesses. Brian has undertaken a turnaround for Norbord in Europe and put together biomass supply for a joint-venture of Duke Energy and Areva of France. Prior to this, Brian spent 10 years as a senior executive at Weyerhaeuser. Before Weyerhauser, he spent 18 years with Procter & Gamble in manufacturing operations including pulp mill operations.
Rich has more than 28 years of experience in various senior leadership positions at Parsons Brinckerhoff Inc., including chairman. He is currently president of RASchrader Consulting, providing management consulting, board advisory, and related services. His direct experience includes strategic planning, M&A, risk management and corporate governance, government contracts, shared services, finance and accounting, internal controls, joint ventures, corporate administration, and benefit and ownership programs. Rich has a B.S. degree from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point (as an instructor).
John has 40 years of leadership experience at the McInnis Companies, completing more than 1,000 major projects in the United States, including the construction, demolition, and repair of more than 1,000 bridges. He is currently president of McInnis Industries. In addition, the McInnis Companies under his leadership have completed major disaster projects (including Hurricane Katrina and the BP oil spill), and constructed and rehabilitated utility infrastructures to include private toll roads and vehicular ferry boats. John is a former president of Alabama Road Builders Association (ARBA).
Terry has more than 25 years of leadership experience in energy, construction, and manufacturing, primarily in corporate finance roles. He is currently president of Montgomery Financial Consulting, performing interim CFO services and board of director activities. He has served as CFO of several investments of GFI Energy Ventures LLC, a specialized energy fund within Oaktree, and currently sits on 3 of their boards. He has experience in equity and debt offerings, investor relations, and rating agency negotiations.
Philip has 40 years of public and private transportation and business experience, coupled with a proven record of successful executive leadership. Currently, he is president of Philip A. Shucet Company, providing advisory and executive leadership services to private companies and government agencies, primarily in transportation and construction. His most recent assignment was as CEO of Hampton Roads Transit in Norfolk, Virginia. Before founding Philip A. Shucet Company, he was Commonwealth Transportation Commissioner of the state of Virginia and held various executive positions at Michael Baker Corporation.
Tim has more than 25 years of experience as an infrastructure developer. He is an Alabama businessman from Greenville, Alabama. In 2010, he was a one of the leading candidates in the Alabama Republican gubernatorial primary. Together with partners, Tim developed a number of infrastructure projects in Alabama, including bridges and toll roads. Prior to the bridge and road projects, Tim owned an asphalt and heavy construction company in South Alabama. He has also invested in land development projects in Baldwin and Mobile counties.
